ABOUT THE EDITOR
Hi, I'm September Herrin.
I am a writer, editor, and community builder. Pairing my editorial expertise with my professional background in creative startups, I bring innovative solutions to writers, editors, businesses, and job seekers.
As a freelance editor, I primarily work with indie authors, small presses, and professionals who write. I also offer editing services for corporate communications, resumes & cover letters, and query letters.
As founder and editor-in-chief at Weird Lit Magazine, I am honored to curate the best in short, weird fiction from across the globe. A graduate of the Certificate in Editing program at the University of Washington and former board member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, I am driven and passionate about furthering education and serving the publishing community at large.
My fiction has been published in Roi Fainéant Press, Crow & Cross Keys, The Squawk Back, and elsewhere. I am currently working on a novel-length work of psychological fiction and will serve as Writer in Residence at Hypatia in the Woods, Spring 2025.
